Annual General Meeting and Election Announcement
We are pleased to announce that our first AGM will take place in Febuary 2015. The democratic election of members of the community to the main executive committee or board of directors will mean the stepping down of those who are currently on the steering committee and the introduction of the first elected community council members.
Members of the community are welcomed, encouraged and above all entitled to nominate themselves or others for a place on Balbriggan Community Council.
Any person interested in becoming an elected member can put themselves forward for nomination and should do so two weeks before the date of the AGM.
As set out in the Constitution, members must be over the age of 18 and must reside in the general area of Balbriggan, Balrothery and Balscadden.
The date for the AGM will be announced 1 month prior to the meeting itself and nomination forms will be made available in outlets throughout the district.
