Balbriggan Open Day 2014
On the 15th of November 2014 Balbriggan Community Council hosted a very successful "Open Day" for Balbriggan's groups, organisations and businesses.
This open day was Balbriggan's first in 20 years and so it was no surprise that so many people signed up to attend, in fact at one of our recent committee meetings it was quoted "we're gonna need a bigger boat", making reference to the Combined Clubs Hall. A complete floor plan of the hall was made to facilitate as many display areas as possible and our greatest concern became facilitating the huge number wishing to participate. Thankfully we managed to provide everyone who attended with their desired requirments and as a result everyone enjoyed a well organised and great open day for Balbriggan. Also on the day the Community Councl launched this web site allowing us to further engage with the community, groups, organisations and businesses in Balbriggan and environs. A suggestion box was made available for people to voice their opinions and desires - providing valuable feedback the new Community Council.
